An Ekiti State Chief Magistrate Court, sitting in Ado Ekiti has granted bail to Samuel Oluwadare (21) and Damilola Anifowose (27).

An Ekiti State Chief Magistrate Court, sitting in Ado Ekiti has granted bail to Samuel Oluwadare (21) and Damilola Anifowose (27).
In his ruling, Magistrate Mojisola Salau granted bail to the defendants in the sum of N200, 000.00 and two sureties each in the like sum, the sureties must be resident within Ado Ekiti Magisterial District and must produce a valid means of identity, he concluded.
According to the charge, Samuel Oluwadare, Damilola Anifowose and others now at large conspired between August and November 15th, 2021 to have stolen goods such as stools, throwing pillows, wall papers, cotton poles, bed sheets bale of cottons among others valued N1, 245,000.00 properties of one Kolawole Olaniyi, contrary to and punishable under Ekiti State Criminal Laws.
Police prosecutor, Sergeant Sodiq Adeniyi opposed the bail application as requested by the defendants counsel for likelihood of jumping bail.
The matter has been adjourned till 15th day of December, 2021 for definite hearing.
